Stop And Smell The Roses By Wolf – Feb 2019

February 8 – 17

Our special show created by WOLF from Jaipur – the magicians who transform BARO once a year – travelled North to Bandra, to the very lovely Vintage Garden. For ten days last month, a garden blossomed, made of scrap, waste, discards and found objects. In true WOLF style it was magical: “people bins” with grass hair that grew, sheep in wool(ve)’s clothing, an arbour of jute rope and cowrie shells, crushed tin-drum poppies, peacocks from fan rims, beehives from waste, cascades of yellow blossoms from bottle caps… And in this, was a treasure trove of shopping for design borne of craft – from fashion to art to food; and as a piece de triumph, a little festival of wonders: workshops, book readings, Sunday jazz and art for kids.

Here’s a video created on-site by the boys from 145 East, and pictures to give you a feel of what it felt like.
